The Problem:
Beefy's uses a significant amount of paper to print their menus.

The Goal:
Design a mobile app that seamlessly replaces paper menus.

Personas were developed based on user interviews and firsthand restaurant patron research. A competitive audit helped identify gaps in existing mobile app restaurant menus.

Based on strengths and weaknesses identified in competitors' products, a lo-fi prototype was developed for usability testing.

Designs were iterated and refined based on findings from two rounds of usability studies. Areas of improvement:
  1. Navigation
  2. Visual accessibility
  3. Add item function
The original color palette presented differently on phone screens with blue-light reduction. I created a new color palette with Material Design's color tool to increase readability.
